The Adventure Podcast Episode 53: The Sea-to-Sea Adventure Race in Florida

March 5th, 2019

Dave's back this week to give us a complete report on his experience at the Sea to Sea Adventure Race in Florida, which took place this past weekend. He gives us the rundown on what it was like to compete in this three day, 300 mile event, which he calls just another "bad idea." Luckily for us, he survived and returned to give us the lowdown on this fantastic event.

Before jumping into his race report we start the show off with some sad news from the winter mountaineering expeditions that we've been following, as well as an update on the ongoing Nepali insurance scam scandal. We'll also check in with the Iditarod sled dog race in Alaska and more sobering news from the Antarctic.

We wrap up the show with our gear segment, this time sharing our picks for the best tents to use heading into the spring/summer camping and backpacking season. There are a lot of good options out there and the guys think now is a good time to go shopping.

Thanks for listening!
